I'm a member of a Draw/Paint a Day group on Facebook that my students set up.  On the page they asked for idea/concept submissions and the one I suggested won.  My submission was 'Systematic Failure of Essential Systems'.  Although I don't have a whole lot of free time at my disposal I figured that if my idea won I owed them a submission.  I was only able to spend about 45 minutes on this piece, but this is what I came up with.  I figured there were few systems that were more important than our sun.  What if someone doped our sun with a massive chunk of iron?
